Who We Are
Market on River is a project of Wisconsin Farmers Union, a trailblazing member-driven organization that is dedicated to enriching the lives of family farmers, rural communities, and all individuals through education, cooperative ventures, and civic engagement. For nearly one hundred years, we have fostered cooperative relationships that uplift local businesses, farms, and rural communities.

You may know us as the group that owns Kamp Kenwood, the youth camp and wedding venue out on Lake Wissota. Our roots in Chippewa Falls run deep, with the state headquarters for our farmer advocacy arm being situated on Spring Street since the 1940s.
Wisconsin Farmers Union
Our membership is made up of people from all walks of agriculture and life. From conventional to organic, rural to urban, our members find community in an organization that empowers them to have a voice in the issues that affect them. We are farmer-led but also welcome rural residents and consumers who want to advocate for family farms and stronger local food systems.
Farm to Table
When we say "farm to table," we mean it. All food vendors at Market on River are required to purchase a percentage of their ingredients and products from local producers, putting money back into our local economy and ensuring our customers are getting the freshest ingredients. The vision for Market on River began with a goal of creating a place to uplift our farmer members' values and products.
